All the Good You Can

I'm a big fan of what Compassion International does for children who live in poverty around the world. Through child sponsorship, Compassion provides kids with educational opportunities, healthcare, nutrition, and a way for these kids to see God's love moving in their lives.

Compassion has some very special kids who've been waiting for sponsor for over six months.

Click here to see their beautiful faces. Seriously, are those not some of the sweetest faces you've ever seen?
John Wesley said, "Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can."
I love what Compassion does for children in poverty. What about you? Do you have any organizations that are near to your heart?

  4. I loved my Compassion boy. I had him for 10 years and then he BEGGED me to come to his graduation. I was so heartbroken that I couldn't hop on a plane and fly to Peru. I think I bawled for an entire day. Loved that kid!

  5. I love Compassion too. I've had a little girl for going on seven years now. She's adorable. Samaritan's Purse does amazing work, too.

Another ministry close to my heart is the one I work for - Hope Ministries, Iowa's largest privately-funded ministry for those who are homeless. We're a Christ-centered organization, so that makes my job all the better.

    1. That's awesome. I knew you worked for a non-profit, but I didn't know which one. Very cool!

  6. My husband and I sponsor a child through Compassion International. It has been a very rewarding experience, knowing that we are helping a little girl gain access to quality food, medicine, and a Christian education.

  7. I love Compassion too. I really love ministries and outreach programs that can show you exactly how they'll use whatever you're able to give. That's a great John Wesley quote! Thank you for sharing it!

  9. A wonderful post and it makes you think. I support all types of charities in my country - but mainly we have a Save The Children.

But just lately I have been very disheartened as despite approaching child welfare authorities, I couldn't save my own GD from being repeatedly beaten by her own mother.........
